Choosing The Right Heel

Platform heels are easier to walk in for beginners, as the platform reduces the foot angle and improves balance. 4-inch stilettos are a good starting point if you want a single-sole heel without a platform. 5–6 inch heels are better once you’ve had some practice and feel more stable.

Fit & Width

Most of our heels run medium width. If you have a wider foot, open-toe styles or adjustable straps will fit more comfortably than closed pumps. If you’re between sizes, it’s safer to go up rather than forcing a tight fit.

Boots Calf Fit

Thigh-high and knee-high boots can vary a lot in fit. Some styles allow more room through the calf, but not all of them stretch enough to compensate. Checking the measurements before buying is the safest way to avoid a tight fit.
